Honestly, with the cartoon thing, some people are too sensitive, but I really do think the artist thought of it as intentional. Really, how else could one construe putting together the stimulus and a crazy monkey? They had absolutely nothing to do with one another, and the reference makes no sense, without going towards the racist end of the spectrum. =/ That being said, protests? Silly. :(

Well, actually the headline for that newspaper was of a chimp that had escaped from a nyc residence, and was shot by cops. during the same time, the problems with the stimulus package were being brought to light. I can definitely see where the racism could have been inferred here, but in doing so seems to allocate to african americans concidering themselves as chimps.

aside from that, yeah i do need to post more often =p
