Well said. How many fathers don't realize this until they are maybe Grandfathers or maybe never? We didn't adjust well from the agrarian society where the family did things together all day long and so connections were made because of shared labor. I saw a documentary recently about a guy who grew up Amish, left the Amish community but continued to live the lifestyle because it allowed him to be with his children more often. Because he was using a horse to plow and do other work there was not the hurry, hurry or the scarey heavy equipment, so as soon as his children could "keep up" they were taking turns helping him in whatever he was doing, boys and girls and they would take turns helping their mother in the house or with whatever she was doing and they also home schooled their kids. It is a different lifestyle then most of us found ourselves in. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
