Thank you! A very nice fic, short but warm. A very good present for all the KKM fans. Also, the language seems pretty good to me (though I'm not a native speaker so I can't possibly judge). And Konrad and Cheri are so much like I picture them!

Thanks! ^_^ I love family fics and the few such works in the KKM fandom mostly seem to focus on Yuuri and his mother, so it was nice to give Cheri and Conrad some attention! I can't help but feel that secretly, Conrad is Cheri's favorite son. *g*

Thank-kyu! :3 I loves it. It's the perfect Christmas ficcie, all warm and hopeful and familial. And the part about being romantics, so true. Ah, but I do wish Conrad would be more assertive in his pursuit of Yuuri. That he'd be more brave. The parts about Cheri and Dan Hiri are very tender. And I always thought that of all Cheri's lovers, Dan Hiri was the most special. How much did their relationship influence how Conrad views relationships, I wonder?

Yes, just for you, love! *g* I'm glad you liked. Hahaha I still feel horribly undeserving. But anyways, yeah, I thought it was strange how no one had ever commented on how Conrad is really a lot like his mother, and went from there. True, Conrad should be a little more assertive, but I do think that part of him feels like his affection is more "pure" if he just loves Yuuri from a distance, because puts all of Yuuri's needs and wants ahead of his own. Perhaps that's what he learned from his father leaving Cheri? Because Dan Hiri realized that she would be better off with him gone, not because he loved her any less? Hahaha I actually don't remember why he left -- did the canon ever say? It's been a while since I watched the anime or read the books.

What a wonderful story! I love those final observations about Conrad and his romantic soul, despite his assertiveness on the battlefield. And Cheri, for all her silliness, gives him good advice; he's already lost Julia whom he loved from afar. Let's hope he acts in time with Yuuri. Lovely stuff.

Hee! Too true. I know the series often makes her seem superficial, but I think the mother in Cheri would be very concerned about seeing her son's heart break a second time. I know in most of the ConYuu fics I've read (and admittedly I haven't read a lot -- I don't read much fanfiction in general aside from people on my flist) Yozak usually seems to be the one who intervenes when Conrad's stalling, but I think it'd be nice to have Cheri do it! Because mothers often do know our hearts best. ^_^

"Lacks spark"? I think not! This was deep and lovely, and made me actually consider Cheri in a rather more than 2-dimensional light. While she might not have been adept at political intreague, she is certainly in control of affairs of the heart, inquisitive without being intrusive and encouraging without being pushy. Well done! A very nice piece of writing that brought out Conrad's warmth and humanity as observed by others!

Aww, thank you! And yeah, I always felt like there's more to Cheri than they showed us in the series. Certainly she goes a bit over-the-top in her pursuit of love at times, but she has a big heart and I don't think that's such a bad thing at all. ^_^
