A note: Naturalism is not materialism, which you say Naturalism "states that there are no mysterious powers, no access to special knowledge, and no non-material parts of reality."
It is entirely possible that mind is just a part of Nature, that there is a Neutral Monist approach that includes mind as 'natural' etc. Nature shows us that its powers are incredibly mysterious - especially on the very large & small scales - and even fly in the face of our normal understandings of causality and the like.

(2) nothing outside nature is necessary to account for its origin or ontological ground
(3) nature as a whole can be understood without appeal to any kind of intelligence or purposive agent
(4) all natural events are caused by other natural events in accordance with universal physical laws

Nature shows us that its powers are incredibly mysteriousNature's properties and processes can certainly be very difficult to observe and/or figure out. In this sense, they are "mysterious", at least until we understand them, at which point they are no longer a mystery. Like quantum mechanics, universal processes ( ... )
