...So, Fate is gone...

This is going to make matters more difficult. She may not have liked it, but Fate was skilled at what she did.

Now all the responsibility of drafting plans falls upon me. At least we have a solid defensive plan for the time being...

If you don't mind my asking, what is Easter?

It's a holiday in the Christian religion. It's when Christians believe that Jesus, the Son of God, rose from the dead.

...Was that the one with the colored eggs?

...Er... The colored eggs are a more secular tradition. They have nothing to do with the religious aspect of the holiday.

What's Easter? Is it dangerous?

Easter is a holiday in Christian religion. In any normal place, it would not be dangerous, but Mayfield likes to force us into events for holidays.

Just what sort of danger are you talking about?

Well... The worst chain of events that occurred for a holiday came around the time of Election Day. On that day, the milkman was voted in as Mayfield's new mayor.

Immediately, Town Hall went up in flames, and then the town was pounded with furious rain for several more days. Then, a recall election was held, and the milkman did everything in his power to discourage people from voting for the old mayor. There was flooding and acid rain, and anyone who voted for the old mayor was targeted by the drones.

You aren't familiar with the holiday, either?

I'm afraid not.

It's a religious holiday. It's the day on which Christians, such as myself, celebrate the resurrection of our savior from the dead.

Surely the Resurrection is a time of great joy and celebration.

Probably not here, I'm afraid.

How horrible!

And yet strangely appropriate.
