Tis the Season Part 2
So, like I promised, I've got a few more Christmas-type drawings to post. Sort of. They're mostly rough sketches of Roosevelt elk, which I'd like to feature in a Christmas card.
A few warm up sketches, a rough of the elk's proportions, and.....pine cones. Tons and tons of pine cones. They don't look much like pine cones, true, but that's what they are supposed to be.
Some drawings focusing on the head. I needed to try and get the shape just right.
Some more practice, this time more stylized.
I just realized that I haven't posted many drawings of humans. I draw them enough, but I haven't had much of an opportunity to post the sketches. Assignment for next week: human gestures.
