The myth of Sisyphis Synopsis

I finished the final polishing draft of Hallowed yesterday and have spent today doing random chores and attempting to write a synopsis of the novel. I'm not the only writer who complains about writing synopses, in fact I've never met anyone who finds them to be enjoyable, fufiling, or anything less than annoying. I am impressed by the whole book, or at least am assuming I would be as yours are always well done. I've been thinking of a story lately but have only gotten as far as drawing a few character sketches

Thank you hon. Unfortunately synopses end up being what gets editors to decide if the book is worth looking at. Its a necessary evil (I certainly don't expect publishing folk to read every piece of unsolicited garbage that come across their desk), but they are really painful to write. But its done, and the submission packet is on its way to its first stop.
