My typo for the day:

"the soldiers began to cream."

Supposed to be "scream." :(

Sounds like a whole different kind of story. :) Besides the "dirty" image a scene filled with the soldiers of the bakery entered my mind.

Clearly you need to write two versions of the story, one where the soldiers scream and one where they cream, then see which one sells faster :)
