Unconditional love is a great thing to have, it's the best thing you can give, really. Not the best for the giver when the receiver blatantly takes advantage of it, as your on again off again girl seems to be doing.

I say this: Move on. She does not love you. Loving someone requires that you have the ability to put their needs before your own. It seems she just wants the love that you so willingly give. A love which is certainly meant for someone as great as yourself.
You deserve better than a girl who looks for momentary stability then leaves it and expects it to still be there. Don't give me that bullshit about how she is the perfect girl for you. No. If she was the perfect girl she would stay with you, realizing the rare gift you give to her.

As for the cutting, it may be your body's form of release. Something left over from past. A guess more than a fact.

how do you always manage to say things that make me feel better? you rock!

and she may not be perfect, but i love her and always will. and i know she loves me. she probably just doesn't love like i do. (totally unconditional and overwhelming)

You can guess at how people feel, but you never know for sure.
