Miriam Engelberg died last week. No, you didn't know her and neither did I. And that's a damn shame. She was the author of an autobiographical comic called "Cancer Made Me a Shallower Person". Some people slay me. I understand not knowing what to say when faced with someone with a disease such as yours, but to have the audacity to ask what was happening to your SCA stuff when you pass is REALLY inappropriate and just plain mean. Please point me in the direction of this person (and the one who said you don't look so good) so I can place my size 11 foot ('cause us big girls don't mess around) promptly up their ignorant asses.

I think "take care of yourself" or "let me know if there's anything I can do" should suffice in those situations, and if you can't think of anything NICE to say, for Chrissakes, shut it.
