So Vincent slept in his crib last night. I think it was harder on me than it was on him. I put the monitor right next to my head. But I couldnt sleep half the night because I was listening for any little noise in his room. Our room felt so empty last night without him in it. He slept fine though. It was nice to not have to worry about being quiet ( Read more... )

Aw what a cutie! It's certainly harder with them in their own room. But it makes you appreciate the nights they are in your room so much more.

Doesnt it! I couldnt believe how horrible it was that he was in another room while I was trying to get to sleep last night.

Glad to hear you put him down but it's a little unfortunate though, I know how you feel. Vincent slept in his crib the other day while we were at the apartment moving things in. I was happy, yet sad at the same time. I still want to co-sleep. :(

He's so darn cute! Did he try eating his hands after that? Everytime I eat something Vincent always stares at me and tries to eat what I eat. Bad kid. :P

Co-sleeping doesnt really work for me. I dont sleep well when he is in the bed with us. Steve is a restless sleeper and WILL roll over on Vinnie if I dont stay in a semi-wake state to stop him. I liked him being right beside my bed though. Within arm's reach. :)
He would have put it in his mouth if Steves mom hadnt held his arms down! She knows how serious I am about him not eating solids for another couple months, so she makes sure he doesnt get any of it in his mouth. I know what you mean though! Vincent had no interest in food and now he just stares and stares at me when I eat. If I let him get too close, his hands always end up in whatever I have!
Oh and about what you asked concerning to Jolly Jumper. It does sit on the door frame. Its basically just a clamp. I'm sure it wouldnt do any hard to paint. Our room was painted just a little while ago and there are no marks. :)
Here is what the clamp looks like:
