[There are several scribbles on the page, making it clear that, though Ron wants to write something, he doesn't know what to actually write. Finally, in an unsteady hand, he jots something down.]
When they leave, do they remember anything? I know I didn't, but... she's smarter than me. She's got to remember us, right? And she'll figure out a way to

On the one hand? Giles can answer this. On the other hand? Ron really might not like the answer.
In the end, after waffling for several minutes, Giles decides to do what he's gotten very good at in Luceti. Which is to say - lying without actually lying.]
It's entirely possible that the memories of this place remain somewhere in the mind.
But being sent home does...something to stop anyone being able to access them. I don't know if it's the Malnosso, or just something about this place. [But he totally suspects the Malnosso.]

I was here once, apparently. Don't remember a lick of it, even now. I'd like to think I would, but like I said, she's wicked smart. If she could remember the dates of all the battles in the Giant Wars or whatever, then surely she could remember the two of us being here.

No idea why.
[...] But I've always had a good memory. It sounds as though she does, as well.

Yeah? That's brilliant! You remembered it all when you got back home and figured out how to come back for your mates?

But, maybe a part of us remembers, somewhere. Memory is something we don't understand well yet.

[And even when the Dark Kingdom took her memories, a part of her still knew them, because she searched for them when they leaked through.]

If it just seems like she's taking too long to come for the rest of us, that's just because rhere's time charms on this place. It could take her an hour to get back here, but her hour might be years for us.

But... if she's back where she's supposed to be... why would she come back? We're all from different times. So as far as she knows, she's already got me and Harry there with her, and you're right where you're supposed to be at Hogwarts. I know that if she told me that she needed to go to another world and bring me back, I'd think she was a nutter and tie her up for her own good.

She'll come for us because we'd come for her.

But... it wouldn't make sense, from her eyes. And what if I - the other me, I mean - what if we I get her convinced that she's crazy and never had any ruddy wings stuck on her back and that it must've been some kind of dream? What then?

[A few minutes later, more seriously.] I've heard different things about it.

Like what?

Well obviously you forgot the time you were here before, but I've heard of people who have gone back home and returned and come back here. They sort of remembered, but not really. But when they got here, those memories made more sense.

But it's Hermione. She'll remember, and she'll know it right from the beginning.

It depends, probably. With her, it wouldn't surprise me.

I stopped being surprised by the kind of stuff she could pull off a long time ago.
