Glad to hear you are okay. Ebay is god for fixing a highside. www.phantombidder.com is a good way to win auctions also If you need any advice I have a buddy who may be able to help.
i'm thinking about making all my fairings out of carbon fiber now, I have a friend who dabbles in it and my dad has been working with it professionally for 20 years. Now it's just time to see if I want to powercoat or annodize the frame black.
Hey Pete, sorry to hear about your wreck. I know the feeling all too well :( So your back end slid on the oil and then hooked back up and tossed you? Anyway good thing you had your gear on. I don't even want to imagine what could have happened if you didn't have on a full face helmet.
Let me know if you need any help fixing things or anything. -Ben (still bikeless at the moment)
That's exactly what happened, i hit some oil or gravel while making a lefthanded turn onto the road and once i started feeling the backend slide out I let off the throttle a littlebit, once the tire hooked back up the bike bucked me off about 15-30 feet. I'm going to use my helmet to show people that anyone not using a full face helmet is just asking for trouble.
I was on my yamaha venture exiting a parking lot making a left turn onto a road once. There was some gravel and so i grabbed a lot of throttle to spin the back wheel, just messing around. Well it was a lot of fun for about .5 seconds until i got past the gravel and onto the paved road. The back end hooked up Real Fast and i went through the very beginnings of a high side before things settled down. I got lucky that time.
I went to the shop on saturday and they had put my bike back together but now there is an abnormal ticking noise coming from the rear head so they're keeping it to try and find what is causing it.
Is your helmet totally destroyed or just the visor?

So what's up with this dealership? You should definitely be getting some compensation for time lost due to your bike being in the shop for so long.
