It is kinda scary how much you know about the topic--but I'm grateful for the contribution

thanks for the advice :) I'm trying to add it into what I'm doing now--which is mainly attempting (and often failing) to add healthy calories, while upping regular, reasonable exercise as well.

Exercise. Don't over do it. Walk about a mile, or do a few sit ups. Jumping jacks. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. It's the best way to get your metabolism up to speed. Also, I'm not sure how much soda you drink, but I've noticed I've kept a lot of weight off by sticking to water and juices.

Sorry I can't be more help.

That's a good reminder...to work out, and not over work out.

I've been thinking of cutting down on the soda anyway...the caffeine keeps me up too late at night. Thanks--water is always helpful

I ate all the time, small amounts until I was stuffed silly when I was recovering(yes the guilt and self-hatred was there even more). Then my stomach would grow a little, my metabolism would increase a little, and I continued that cycle until I could eat health amounts again (now I can actually eat more in one meal than the average person) and metabolism is back to normal, maybe even higher than before because of all I eat.
I don't exercise, but that also will help in getting your metabolism up and help with eating more.
I hope that helped <3

P.S. I also gained when I started eating again. It's because my body had almost no stomach left and no metabolism. So I did gain for quite a while, and hated myself for it, but eventually it went away. And I think the same would go for you. Just as long as your up for hating your self more than usual, the end result (recovery and happiness) is soooo worth it.

Thank you!

It's so hard to keep perspective when the "I hate myself" feelings start up again. Thanks for sharing your stories and advice.

I'm starting to eat regular meals again. 2-3 small-but-balanced meal a day. It's harder than I thought it would be...but I think if I cna get this bingeing under control, it would be easier to eat healthily--and perhaps eat more with less guilt

I'm so excited for you- that's so good to be eating those meals. That's a huge step towards everything. ie recovery, getting your metabolism back and being happy!

It's important that you eat at regular times each day. It's also important that you have a variety of food so that your body can get different nutrients.

<3.

I wish I could give you more information. I know how hard it is (with metabolism and all). Or at least I think I do.

I give you my best wishes.
