I'm doing a little better today. I need to learn to relax--I have papers looming over my head, and that makes me feel as if I'm walking on eggshells.

The "act as if" isn't my favorite concept--there is a sense of artificalness about it that bothers me. But sometimes, it's the only way I can get myself to get through the day--go against how I feel.

We both know that our feelings can be quite skewed...

Pleasant conversation is often surprisingly. I'm met some remarkable people that way :)

i think it's a good idea if it doesn't driving you absolutely mad. : )
i can see it causing you to end your day on a better note ... atleast you didn't wallow and feel sorry for yourself or be miserable.
i think i may have done it before unintentionally ... pushed myself to go out and act with a smile in order to put myself in that place.
i can see it as working at times, as long as you don't feel like it's an all the time thing.

i'm sorry you had to go through that binge. i remember how shitty that can make one feel about themself. i commend you for pushing forward regardless.
i promise you you're on the right track just by pressing on.

Pressing on the hardest thing to do. I'm one who always wants to go back and "undo" the damage...but it just doesn't work that way.
