A/N: This was born from trying to figure out how I view the angels...which seems to be pretty damn close to the
Jedi Code according to Odan-Urr...
To be an angel is to be above emotions. It is to be the blade, as wielded by the Creator, orders the force behind each swing, stab, slice.
To be an angel is to watch; file no judgment, form no opinion, take no action save for what's decreed.
To be an angel is to ignore what the flesh feels; hunger, pain, weariness.
What being an angel is not, is caring for the thoughts of mortals. It is not seeking to please. It is not feeling regret when you see displeasure in the eyes of your charge.
And yet...
Castiel cannot help but think that things haven't been righter, can't be righter than when Dean smiles at him, congratulates him for acting outside of his orders.
