I mean, I didn't actually think you were the type for it, but that really wasn't so bad for a first try. Or second, I, um, I don't know if you chopped up Alex first.
[ All of that comes much closer to a mentorly tone of praise rather than whatever the sane approach for it should be. ]
...I wouldn't use hellebore next time though, not when you can get so much better stuff from the closet.
[ He taps his cup, thinking. ]
Ah! For example, there's tetrodoto-- the poison from pufferfish and the great thing about it is that... well, it doesn't hurt, but whoever you give it to can't move. They can't speak, they can't... they really can't do anything except slowly run out of air while being aware of every second of it.
It's all just... boring medical stuff, but I can write you a list if you like. Just a few of the more interesting poisons.
[ The casual tone doesn't waver. Teaching is in session. ]
I don't know if you've got any experience handling live snakes, but if you're interested then there's some options in that area you could look into as well.
