I have a special place in my heart for both MC Hammer and My Humps.
The former because my favorite music teacher in all the elementary schools I was in was Mr. Green, who had once played trumpet in a video of Mr. Hammer's (I don't care if it was a lie; I want to believe it and so I shall). If we did good in class he would let us dance to MC Hammer songs on the school auditorium stage for the last 10 minutes or so. This was when I was in second or third grade.
The latter because the first time I heard it was having it sung to me from the kitchen by one of the guys they had at First Christian doing dishes. He was roughtly 18 (to my 23) and knew neither that I was older than him or, y'know, married.
