Hello LJ! My mother-in-law has departed, leaving behind a freakishly gigantic television (37 inch LCD flat screen!) and a me_maneuver whose laser-improved eyes now see far, even if they are a bit red and vampire looking. And not cool vampire looking. Bah ( Read more... )

Yay happy post! You sound very, "Life Is Good."
I mean, not that you usually sound sad or anything. Just, you sound particularly happy.

And yay for passports! I renewed mine last year, and am currently excited about my upcoming Xmas trip abroad. :)

I watched the 1st ep of Vamp Diaries, and was mildly interested, and then the 2nd episode sucked. It seems like most of my flist is watching it, so maybe I'll give it another try. But I've been pretty happy about watching a lot less TV lately so. I am, however, finally getting around to watching Dark Angel. It's okay. Not bad and the actors are amusing, but the ideas and prod values feel pretty dated now.

In other news, though we have never even met on LJ, I may have to pick me_maneuver's brain a little but about the laser eye surgery. I really want to get that done when I have more money, and I don't know anybody personally who's gone through it.

Gnight!

I do seem to be highly exclaimy this evening - perhaps it is the result of sending my mother in law back to the midwest?

The second ep of Vampire Diaries was pretty lame, but everything else has been better. Or, at least, far, far dirtier. I'm sort of shocked some of this is ending up on a show being marketed to a bunch of 12 year olds? The last ep had a good deal of bloodplay porn, and I have to respect any show where THIS SHOT is an official promo image.

I'm sure me_manuever would be willing to tell anyone who will listen about the laser eye surgery. (Except for me, because it squicks me like nothing else in the universe). She seems pleased, but I think it was a bit more stressful than they make it out to be? M says you can drop her an LJ message/ comment any time :D

OMG, that picture. It's like, in addition to capitalizing on the whole 'Vampires are really in right now' thing, the CW also realized that the majority of its female viewers like teh slash, and also the male/male/female threesomes! Whodathunkit? ;D

And thanks for the... introduction, for lack of a better word, to M! I will likely message/comment to her soon. I need to get to bed now and stop mucking about online.

It's almost 3am. The other half is out clubbing, and if I'm not asleep by the time he gets home, he will keep me up for another hour with drunken babbling.

Uhhh... hi *waves*

Sorry for butting in, but I wanted to say hi and see if you had any specific questions. Actually, I just did a post about the procedure. If it's alright, I'll friend you so you can see it. You totally don't have to friend me back or nuthin. :)

It's like Leverage came directly to us! The soundstage is a bit farther away, but still less than ten minutes, and the hospital Chris keeps landing himself in is a block away!

Plushies get to visit a number of places they know and love :D

Finn-tastic... oh I am torn between laughter, headdesking and heart-eyes. Um, I recommend a sauna? Every self-respecting house should have one. *misses ours terribly*

The whole little Canadian town was very pro-Finland. M's crazy Canadian cousins offered us use of their sauna (from Finntastic!), but we were trying to beat the blizzard back to the US, and there is NO POWER IN THE UNIVERSE that was going to get me outside in the snow in a towl, even to just walk between the two points.

I know it! It's practically a Herculean effort to get me outside in a parka and two pairs of pants and snow boot in the snow. DO NOT WANT.
