Lots of people have requested tuts and so I decided to do one.

TURN
 INTO

I think the icon result is quite pretty. : )

1. Open up your 100x100 layer. Resize image so that its the way you like it.

2. Screen the image by 5. (This varies, if you are working with darker HQs, then you might need it fully on 100. With caps, you might need to screen your picture twice, or just once.) You should now have this:

3. Go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Selective Color.

REDS:          YELLOWS:            WHITES:             NEUTRALS:
-100               -100                     -100                    0
0                    -100                     0                         0
40                  0                          0                         15
0                    0                          0                         0

Now you should have this:

4. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue/Saturation.
MASTER:    RED:
15               10

You should now have this:

5. Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Brightness/Contrast.
10
10

You should now have this:

6. Copy and paste these textures into layers and set to multiply. This choice is optional, but I like it. ( Resources are in link list) I added these two together so it was easier.

And finally you should have this:

(I added a little brush ^_^)

AND YOU ARE DONE!

Feel free to ask questions.
Please comment and or show me your result.
And I'm not giving the .psd away because I want you to do it for yourselves.
