about the show: HIMYM is a half hour sitcom following Ted Moseby and his four friends, Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin as he searches for 'the one'. the show is told through the framework of Ted telling his two children the story of how he met their mother.
au. set during and following the episode where lily moves in with barney. lily is not entirely over marshall and barney hasn't had a real relationship in a very long time, but they find themselves developing feelings that weren't there before. feelings that may or may not stem from having a lot of sex. it does not have a happy ending for barney.
I love Marshall/Lily, because how could you not. And I'm a fan of Robin/Barney. BUT, there's something about Barney and Lily that's always intrigued me. I think if circumstances were different she could be just what he needed. At the end of the day I think Lily is probably his best friend. She judges the hell out of him, because he's BARNEY, but she also loves and tries to help him. beekeeper's daughter ∞ the all american rejects
