The best way to have real american food is to make it yourself! Hell yeah.
I have a friend from Korea who loves burgers. I met her on a school trip, where we ate some pretty crappy burgers, but she was like "WOW SO GOOD!". Of course, I had to show her what a burger SHOULD taste like. Hell yeah.
I made lots of burgers with my awesome cooking roommate, Jeannie, last year. She has this super special oyster mushroom seasoning powder, from some farmers market somewhere that just makes burgers AWESOME. Too bad I didn't have any!
I miss american cheese. The cheese here is expensive, because it's unprocessed and legit. Pff.
Anyways, here are the ingredients I used:
Patties:
- Ground beef
- 5 crackers
- 2 eggs
- Random spices (parsley, steak seasoning, rosemary, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper.. basically everything in the cabinet)
- Barbeque sauce
Other:
- Processed Cheese
- Onions
- Mushrooms
- Avocado (it was a weird round one)
- Tomato
My housemate later told me that you could smell the burgers all in the hallways. Hell yeah. I always hate it when I smell something really good coming from some random apartment, but HA. HA HA HA. HA.
