There were pro-gay rights rallies and protests around the nation and around the world today, including one with around 6-7 hundred folks up here in the small corner of California that is Humboldt county. It didn't feel like such a small corner though, what with the enthusiasm of those gathered with their signs and their flags and their voices

I wasn't early enough to make the protest here, but I did cross paths with it and you're right - there was so much positive energy! There were cars honking to show support, and there were people with signs IN the cars, and it was a big deal. Lots of people. Lots of enthusiasm. It was so cool.
