I suspect it may have something to do with your being kind of a slightly-largish-name fan. Like, "faintyoungsun is so good and obviously she would never be interested in my fanart for her story and I don't want her to judge me so I'm not going to tell her because she's just so awesome... *sniffle*".

Or maybe that's just an exaggerated version of how I feel about BNFs.

I don't even think I am was that big, though I will say I saw a lot more Germerica stuff afterwards. IDK, I'm a bad judge of these things orz

It makes sense to behave in this irrational manner when you're shy ok ._.

You know, I kinda felt that way when I met some of the band members of OKGo.

....if I ever met the actors for, like, non animated fic I've written, I think I would feel deep shame.

I'm guilty of drawing fanart from fanfiction at times. I always, always give credit, but often I don't go back to the source to tell the author. You're a pretty good writer though, so just keep reveling in the fact that people are drawing cool stuff inspired by YOUR cool stuff! :3
