Title: Grey Days
Rating: G
Fandom: Johnny's Entertainment ( Uchi Hiroki)
Summary: Before he took up golf and horseback riding, days seemed to just drag on for Hiroki.
"Gray day. Everything is gray. I watch But nothing moves today."
His alarm rings at 6, a habit that he still haven't adjusted to. He fusses about in bed for a bit, stretching and rolling, a strangled yelp left his dog as he almost squished him. Uchi couldn't help but smile, a small tiny one as he apologized to Leon, giving the dog a quick belly rub in return. He stayed in bed, just laying there. He wasn't sleepy anymore, it's not like he needed much rest for anything lately, who knew when his hiatus was going to be over.
Around 7, shuffling could be heard in the other room, Uchi already knew what's to come, he's already used to the routine. Sure enough, his beautiful mother was standing at his door, leaning against the frame, arms crossed. "Today?" He could see the disappointment in her eyes as he shook his head, he still wasn't ready to leave the house, to face the world yet. Not even for a stroll or to the market place. He hasn't set foot out of the house since he had been back.
His family had supported him through the whole incident, he was ashamed that he had brought such an embarrassment to his family but they didn't judge him. They didn't rush him out of the house, to face the world just yet, they understood it took time. The reporters and the people outside didn't help much either. They all wanted to see a Johnny's fall, it was great for the tabloid after all. He didn't blame them for doing their job, it was his own fault that he made a stupid choice and got caught. If he could go back in time.. to change the things he did, he would.
Though his parents weren't forcing him out of the house, they did leave him home with chores to do, something to occupy his time. Staying at home all day really wasn't healthy. With a roll of her eyes, she turned around, "Just make sure you finish the list later you leecher," she said as he went to wake up his younger sister, telling her to get ready for school.
His family was like that, they weren't going to act like the whole world ended and cautiously watch what they say. They weren't going to avoid the topic of Johnny's or his suspension. It is what it is, as simple as that.
Sighing, he scooted closer to the window, the sun was shining brightly, the sky was a beautiful blue but Uchi didn't see any of that. Outside was just outside. Glancing down, he saw his mother and sister leaving the house. He was home alone again, his father had already left to work earlier. A soft whimper could be heard next to him. Correction, he was home with Leon. "Okay.. okay.. I'll let out in the back."
Climbing off the bed, Uchi grabbed a pair of pants, slipping them on before he made his way into the bathroom, following his morning routine.
He made his way to the backdoor, Leon was already sitting there, patiently waiting to be let out. He too was accustomed to the routine of having his owner home, giving him constant attention. Uchi let him out, propping the door open to allow him in whenever before he made his way into the kitchen, debating what he should eat for breakfast.
By the time he was done eating, it was only 8. The house was still quiet and no one was going to be back until 5 or 6. Curling up in the couch, he turned on the television, only to turn it off right after. Taguchi was playing, the drama he was supposed to be in. His fist clenched tightly as he tried to calm himself down. Closing his eyes, he sang a little lullaby he learnt when he was younger. He stumbled on the words and tried to remember what came next, it was so choppy and unrecognizable, it did it's purpose. He forgot about the drama, his mind focus on trying to remember the song instead.
When he was able to finally open his eyes again, he felt better. The pain wasn't gone, it probably won't be for a while but he could deal with it, one day at a time. Until one day, it really will be. He hasn't been suspended that long yet, the wounds were still fresh but he did a lot of growing up in the past few weeks.
Stomach growling, Uchi glanced over at the clock, frowning, it was only 12. All he did was stare a the blank screen of the t.v. Shaking his head, he made his way back to the kitchen, putting some food out for Leon before heading back to bed. Maybe when he wakes up tomorrow, this nightmare will no longer be true and things will be better.
