I liked the proposition. I thought it was a well done gritty Wild Western-ish film. I was surprised since Nick Cave wrote it I figured that it would've been a little cheesy, but it was definitely well done and Guy Pearce was most excellent in it.

The Marquis de Tren is my favorite favorite drummer ever. I love watching him drum so much. his tour with Bonnie Prince Billy, especially, was amazing.

(By the way, I just found out Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are headlining the Plug Awards here in NYC next month - no idea what to expect there, though I'll definitely try to attend.)

Bring earplugs. Seriously. When I saw them at the Orpheum, they put on an amazing show, but it was the loudest sound of any kind I had ever heard.

Really? The loudest? Nick Cave? I gotta say, that's surprising. Not what I would've imagined from him....but still, very reassuring. I'm guessing you've never seen Boris or the Melvins play live.

(I'm also incredibly jealous that you've seen Nick Cave.)
