Nick has had an interesting day. He spent most of the morning making all necessary final touches to his office; getting better acquainted with his receptionist and sorting through the appointments he's already got lined up and the (larger) gaps in his planner.

He has had one session. He rescheduled the one that would have come after it, limited himself to one drink and a lot of swearing, and has been taking a very long walk. When he gets back to his apartment - which is still lacking most of the furniture it really needs, but at least has one or two items per room now - he considers his phone for a long while before he dials Alya's personal number.

Alya is a little thrown someone is calling her, but she picks up on the third ring. Her phone is cordless, so she brings it over the the sofa with her, tucking her legs up underneath herself when she sits down. "Hello?"
