I love this! The structure really works and makes it seem more real.

I too am fascinated by the Beckett/Royce dynamic and this little fic beautifully describes what I think their relationship was probably like.

It's so Castle to want to know about Beckett's sexual history and not in a jealous way.

“And he was the first guy to help me explore my submissive side. Other guys always just let me take over but Royce showed me how good it could be to give up control. He held me down and it was amazing because he knew how much of a control freak I was, even in bed, and he showed me how much better it could be if I let go.”

I...can't express how much this idea clicks with me. Absolute head canon.
