True words, especially for us Northmen who have to walk in the snow. Still, something low and athletic might make me feel sporty and sleek when I am really just obese and languid.

If your ankles hurt, the high tops, if they don't hurt then the low-tops look way cooler, IMHO.

On the other hand, my wife dresses me.

Thanks for the input. I actually ended up going with the shoes you recommend, but I had to return them because I need to go a size up. I'm glad I made/will make the right choice!

Also, you're a lucky man to have somebody that dresses you. Even luckier that it's a wife.
