ohhhh my god that was the cutest, most amazing story ever. how cute! are your chipmunks people friendly? i mean, i know they are since you have them, but can you hold them and play with them and everything??

all our pets who have had babies have always made deadbeat moms. i guess captivity does that to them too

the babies will be a lot more people friendly than the 2 we have already. not that they are unfriendly, just not extremely domesticated. they eat out of our hands and let us pet them (although not always), but other than that they kind of tend to run if we try to pick them up. we do let them run around the living room, but either they go back to their cage when they feel like it or we have to trick them into it. but we bought them from a pet shop when they were already 4 months old, so being isolated in a small cage about 1/6 the size of their current one in a pet shop for a few months made them not very people friendly. the new babies should let us hold them and pet them and carry them around without a problem. i can't wait! :)
