She's vaguely reminiscent of a friend of mine that's done a lot of modeling work over here, too. I'm quite fond of that "look". And you did fine with the pics (rust or not, you captured what you were after).

I think that most of what you'd get from a "professional" would be instructing her how to posture herself a little better. The poses and expressions are generally very good -- her posture is what makes her appear not-as-confident as (imo)your spokesperson should be.

she was nervous, this was her first shoot, so I just let her do her thing, in later shoots when she has her confidence, I'll start getting her to use her assets much better

she still has a nice freshness about her which you just cant buy

my camera may well be the same, they are named slightly differently here, in Japan and the US

Definitely understandable on the nerves. I always look at someone like that and am completely flabbergasted when they haven't done ANY sort of modeling before. :)

Freshness is good. Being that attractive and not being mainstream at the same time really is priceless.

I agree...she has a great look. Her semi-nervous shyness is actually quite endearing. You tell her if she ever visits the U.S., I promise not to kick her out if she eats crackers in bed. :)
