Welcome BP Engineers

I can only hope that you find this idea and it's as sound as I hope.

I want to seal off your broken well, as close to permanently as possible.

Therefore I introduce to you, (figuratively), Bennett's Buttplug. The device which I hope will stop shit pouring out into the Gulf.

Here's what it looks like, pre and post insertion )

Did you submit it to them?
They have a site for that if you did not:

awesome

can you use that number and point them at it as well ?

I've submitted it formally but a phonecall often gets better results. I don't have Skype at the moment due to a dead computer so I can't call them myself at the moment.

I think someone with a technical brain needs to see the pics, I'd push that line, that they need an Eng to look at the images before they discount the idea.

I got a machine. So, I don't know if it will get to anyone technical or not.

poetic :)

I hope they use it and I get due credit, though I would imagine there are plenty of existing patents for something very similar

Well, why don't you try to simulate a high pressure well, with a garden hose or something. Find a way to actually get this plug in there. With a bit more practical detail on how to do this, this could evolve into the solution (might need to add some relief wells though to not create any more leaks).
What about the oil that already spilled though. Isn't there some powder that makes it clogg so that it can't hurt nature anymore?
Well, good luck you people out there!
