I don't own them, Kishimoto does. Written off of the one sentences...that I can't currently remember where i bookmarked them.
“They’re doing it again” Naruto whined as the two teachers tried to steal another glance at each other without anyone being the wiser. It may have been the fact Kakashi managed to fall out of a tree at the same time that Iruka walked into an opening door, both being so obvious that even the blonde boy couldn’t help but notice.
Sasuke rolled his eyes heavenward and glanced longingly at the direction of his home. He would sooner be scrap booking using Itachi’s old baby pictures then watching his teachers make goo goo eyes at each other. For that matter, he would sooner be surrounded by his fan club agreeing to let them have a party at his house than standing here watching his teachers acting like complete lovestruck fools.
Inner Sakura was too busy ranting to pay much attention to the boys. How could two ninjas' be so damn oblivious to what everyone else already knew? As she beat her head against an imaginary wall it came to her. When Sakura starting grinning that evil little smile, the boys began to back away quietly; huddling together for protection. They slowly edged away from the mad gleam that lit Sakura’s eyes up with unholy glee. It was the kind of gleam that all men learn to fear early in life and it has been speculated that this very gleam inflicted on the male at a young age could cause him to turn to the company of his own sex later on in life.
When Kakashi turned around his team was missing. The only trace was the dust cloud left behind and the echoes of high pitched terrorized screaming that sounded suspiciously like Sasuke and Naruto. He blinked in confusion contemplating whether it was worth it to go find where his team had gone and inflict pain upon them for daring to leave before him. However it wouldn’t hurt to steal one last glance at Iruka, after all it was the copy nin’s duty to insure that the children were safe and being well-taught. And the copy nin always fulfilled his duty to the village.
Elsewhere in the village huddled behind the filing cabinets in Tsunade’s office, Sakura having decided on the safest place to hide, team 7 plotted to get their senseis together so they could finally get some training. Many bored and mission-less Jounin also gathered around the file cabinets listening carefully, planning their own parts in this mad gamble for peace in the village. Tsunade’s lips twitched slightly as she also listened, it had not escaped her notice and she was willing to lend any assistance if it would restore order once more. Just last week Iruka had walked into an apple cart trying to watch Kakashi’s backside as it passed him on the street.
The Jounin hadn’t noticed since he was busily trying to watch Iruka and walked into a group of women who immediately pounced the copy nin wanting his autograph and other things. In fact the only people who hadn’t noticed the two teachers’ fascination for each other were the teachers in question. Enough was enough! If it took every Jounin available, and it probably would, those two were going to get together before they destroyed all of Konoha. And by god, if it meant smutty moments of hot man kissing, then Tsunade was willing to make that sacrifice for the good of her people by supervising their little tryst to insure they got together and didn’t kill each other.
When Iruka walked into the mission office, it was with a feeling of overwhelming dread. Every Jounin not on a mission was there, with a faint gleam to their eyes; the kind of gleam that reminded Chunin everywhere that Jounin were children with killing skills and a bad sense of humor. When Naruto whined that he couldn’t reach the top shelf in a closet where Sasuke had thrown his frog purse, Iruka didn’t think twice, he probably should have. After all why would Naruto whine to him when he could walk up walls using chakra?
He turned, following the blonde, escaping the room, and missing a subtle touch as he passed Tsunade. They met Kakashi, Sakura, and a glowering Sasuke at the closet in question. When the door opened, the children shoved at the men. They might have been able to avoid falling if not for several helping hands and Jiraya’s chakra seal on Kakashi’s back. As the teachers landed in a tangle of legs and arms, Tsunade slapped a seal on the door that would entrap them until the morning. Everyone went on their merry way, content in the knowledge that for at least one night, they had protected the good citizens of the village from further mental and physical damage.
When the door was opened the next morning, the assembled crowd aahhed at what they found. Iruka was curled up in Kakashi’s lap, head pillowed on the Jounin’s shoulder. Kakashi had his arms wrapped around Iruka with his cheek on Iruka’s head. Genma made sure to take a quick picture to record the moment in case the two tried to deny it later.
As the first rays of dawn touched the building, an audible popping noise was heard. For the rest of the day, not a single Jounin could be found in the village. Even Tsunade was gone, having taken it upon herself to send Team 7 on a three day mission to the Sand for an emergency meeting with their allies, or so Shizune told everyone.
Though Kakashi was the happiest he had ever been with Iruka now in his arms instead of just in his fantasies, it didn’t stop him from plotting and executing revenge on everyone involved in the little caper. Especially team 7. After all, with Naruto and Sasuke’s help, it was Sakura who gleefully locked them in the closet. It was the principle of the revenge that mattered, even if it did work out for the best.
Elsewhere, Tsunade gleefully hid the videotape in her bottom drawer. She had to make sure her shinobi were happy, it was her duty. If it meant scarring herself by watching the action in the closet, then so be it. She smiled contently, knowing that her act of self sacrifice would be appreciated by the village at some point in time. Shizune handed her a handkerchief to wipe the drool from her chin.
As for Genma's pictures, it wasn’t surprising that several of them ended up posted in various places around the village leaving all to breathe a sigh of relief and take to walking the streets again, relieved that the two had gotten together and would no longer be a menace.
As for team 7, they were huddled together under Gai sensei’s bed wishing they were headed for the Sand but green was good right now too.
