I haven't posted lately because the only thing to post about is Lack of Baby, and I don't want to bore everyone with my whining. My mother went home yesterday and I have cried my tears over that; there is nothing else to do now but wait, as I have tried every natural induction method known to man without success. Well, I certainly give you credit for tempting Murphy's law--which surely should have sent you into labor during such an event.

Very much agreed that all actors should be dancers--or at least have the training. People don't realize how distracting the tiniest movements are onstage. Scratching your nose might not draw any attention in a milling crowd, but under spotlights the effect of that movement is magnified so many times over.

Even I, with my appallingly mediocre skills at acting developed on my middle school speech team, have somehow gotten down the idea that more is less, or less is more. I know exactly what you mean about the frantic flailing and I find it somewhat painful and frustrating to watch.

I would wager that despite the good budget, the drama coach can't have been very good - nepotism plus a failure to teach your kids something as basic as how to move on stage indicates to me that the teacher doesn't actually know how to teach.

Let's hope that baby is not setting a lifetime trend of tardiness. :)
