Sex with Mikaela was incredible and awkward and fire along his nerves and an ache in the pit of his stomach and a tiny nag in the back of his mind that the two Autobots in the vicinity probably didn't want to see them going at it. But teenage hormones could overcome anything and everything and Sam's shoulders strained against the blanket and his hips strained against the girl riding him and his wrist strained to keep his thumb where she had shown him it would do the most good as she shuddered and moaned brokenly above him. She was dark and she was fire and she was sultry and teasing and the way she moved made Sam choke and twist and a hard fold of blanket rode up under his lower back and he didn't care.

He closed his eyes and briefly wondered if Bumblebee or Arcee were paying attention to them and Mikaela's hips jerked like a pistol shot and Sam knew she was getting close and he was trying to hold out until she did. He looked back up at her and she looked down at him and all of a sudden she wasn't Mikaela anymore. Her hair was blond and her skin was pale and her eyes were bright electric blue and Sam tried to figure out if sex could make you hallucinate and it couldn't be his imagination because she looked so impossibly real. Then she threw her head back and came with a low cry and she was Mikaela again and she whimpered as he thumped into her a couple more times before he climaxed.

He didn't say anything about the blond woman and Mikaela didn't say anything about him being quiet, but her kiss goodbye was tinged with worry in her eyes before she drove off, Arcee pink and humming between her thighs. Sam leaned against a tree as Bumblebee rolled up near-silent and the young man sighed at the leaves above. "Think I'm losing it, 'Bee," he muttered, and a short beep of the Camero's horn kept him talking. "Don't know why I'm all of a sudden hallucinating another woman when I'm with Mikaela. Gotta be bonkers, right?"

The horn honked again and something about the noise wasn't right and Sam looked at his friend in alarm. The door opened and there was no one in the seat but someone was getting out of the car anyway. It was her. Blond hair and blue eyes and Mikaela's exact height and close enough to the same build that Sam felt things twitch. She was bright and she was electric and she moved without sound across the grass towards the stunned teen, her eyes glowing, literally glowing, a blue sheen on her pale cheeks, and Sam finally understood. "A hologram, 'Bee?" he managed, pressing further against the tree as she stopped in front of him. "Why?"

She reached out and touched him, her palm flat against his chest and Sam's senses argued in his mind, his eyes saying that she was there and his skin saying he was alone and his rational mind apparently on vacation. "It's not fair," she said, low and sweet, honey laced with cyanide and Sam didn't have enough words for all the flavors of anger and want and sadness and love and hate in that voice and he was dimly aware of a low rumble from the Camero's engine punctuating the words. "It's not fair," she repeated, looking at him, her face as neutral as her voice wasn't. "I knew you first."
