I have to say that I liked chapter one better than the prologue, maybe because it had appearances of the other Jouishishi, I just love them together.
I look forward for the continuation of this story, it seems kind of promising. There was only one thing that bugged me. To me it seemed that Shoyou-sensei's dialogue was a bit unnatural to me but that's just a minor thing.
By the way,I read your introduction post and I have to ask: Are you really German or did I misunderstood something? Because I'm also from Germany :)
Anyway, I hope you don't mind my pointless rambling ;)

Thanks so much for comment! (and, no, it's NOT pointless, I really appreciate it :)).
Yeah, I was wondering about Shoyou, too. I find it really, really hard to write him, to be honest (he's just too...kind?). Thanks so much for letting me know! I will try and improve that the next time I incorporate him into a story =)
I'm glad you're looking forward to the next chapters - my newly acquired Beta is currently reading through Number 2^^.
Jep, I'm German, although I'm studying abroad =) Whereabouts in Germany are you from?

I second that Shoyou is really hard to write. He's just so... mysterious. His character had such massive influence and we know almost nothing about him. Sometimes I think he was just too good for this world ;)
I'm from the Ruhrgebiet, although I was born in Poland (long story). May I ask where you orginally come from?
Another question, do you write your stories in German first or English first? I'm just curious is all :)

Oh, Ruhrgebiet! I got two Gintama-loving friends there =) I was born in Berlin, but we moved down south very early in my life, so now my home is on the Schwäbische Alb in BW (close to Tübingen).
It depends xD. All the short stories I wrote in English. My style actually differs quite a lot between the two languages.
Beast though was/is originally in German since I started it almost 2 years ago. I don't really 'translate' everything word by word though, I take the meaning of a sentence or paragraph and then write it down in English.

What's so fascinating about it is probably your description of Takasugi's thoughts, experiences, emotions... Well, it's just very realistic. The way he's been feeling physical pain after loosing his left eye as well as the sorrow and inability to forgive himself for the death of a person closest to his heart. Hope you understand my words.

First of all, sorry for the late reply - my laptop died in the middle of last week and I was only able to revive it today...
Aw, thank you so much! I'm honoured that you like my fanfiction =) (Let's talk about this once you've read the end, haha).
I'm glad I was able to convey Takasugi's personality and that you feel drawn in. Good to know that it works!
Chapter 2 will hopefully be out later today ;).
