Ah... well, I'm not sure how different the Pokemon horses are from the usual kind, but may I ask what you think your main issue with riding may be? Do you at least have a saddle, on that note?

She seems to look like the other horses I've seen, so it shouldn't be too different.

I didn't really think to look for a saddle before trying, and now that you mention it, that may be my problem. It was a little difficult to hold on.

Yes, I imagine that would be it. I'd ask if you'd be patient enough to wait to purchase one until the next town, but it's a bit of a ways off...
