Maxwell leaned back in his chair, staring somewhere beyond his computer screen. He absently sipped on his cup of tea, mostly oblivious to Gauss draping himself across the scientist's shoulders and purring in his ear. Saying he was a little pre-occupied with his thoughts was a large understatement.
Two letters sat open next to the keyboard. Maxwell glanced at them and stood up, suddenly restless.
He was out of his league. Always had been. He'd known it since day one. Surrounded by geniuses made his own work look like a hobby. Frowning, Maxwell reached to rub the back of his neck only to get an indignant mewl for his attempt. His chuckle was tired, and he picked up the tea cup.
Set it down. Picked it up. Set it down. Picked it up and downed the rest of the contents.
He didn't want to, but he felt the pull of necessity.

It's so good to see that everyone is their proper size and age again and things are back to normal! ...Relatively speaking of course, ha, ha.
This is unfortunately bad timing, but I'm afraid that there are things that I must attend to that are calling me away for a period of time. I'll be returning to Snow Wood for a short period of time, amongst other things. Every effort will be made to return as quickly as I can!

I... know you're very busy, but I know Jeff and Lash are somewhat close to you so... If it wouldn't be a bother to continue keeping an eye out for them, it would be endlessly appreciated. There's very little I can do even when I am here, so it's a comfort knowing you might be watching out for them, sir.
