Denver Food Scene

Just finished my last piece of yummyness here in Denver - and - just in case any of y'all end up here at some point - wanted to give my impressions. Apologies in advance for rampant food-snotty-ness.

mmm rattlesnake!! tastes just like chicken. So do other snakes. Actually come to think of it, Gator tastes like fishy chicken too. There is a place in Charlotte where they server you fried gator tail bits (like shrimp popcorn) in the actual gator tail (boiled). Its pretty damn nifty! Too bad there aren't any game meat resteraunts in DC (Greenfields in Rockville came close.. but isnt anymore since they dont serve venison, rabbit, or duck there anymore).

btw have you ever been to Smith and Willonskies (sp!!) in downtown??

I have not been to Smith and Willonskies.

BTW - one other place to get Rabbit downtown - a joint called Cafe Mozart serves Hausenfeffer (sp?) which is german sweet-and-sour rabbit - you might remember it from old loony toons eps where a cook was trying to eat Bugs. Very yummy.

2941 has venison and wild boar right now, and they've had rabbit and kangaroo in the past.

And Fiore di Luna has duck and rabbit.
