sometimes i worry that the reason everybody's worried for their friends and family during a hurricane is because they're too scared. not scared for their friends or family. but scared for themselves, of what they'd do if they lost someone. of their own reactions and feelings. it kind of makes me sick to think about things like that, but i always do
