By Charity Vergara

The program reads “An Evening with the Honorable Al Gore” and I immediately shove it in my purse. As a second-generation Cuban, I’m liberated enough to attend such an event, but not progressed enough to appreciate it-- and thus came the ignorant comment, “Ha! The honorable Al Gore!” Suddenly, I felt heat-vision rays ( Read more... )

Ok, so I agree that pollution and overcrowding are very bad and things do need to be done about them, but to be quite frank, gore only looks at the last couple of hundred years and he needs to widen his scope and look at the last couple of billion years. I think his arguments will be better supported if his scope wasnt so very limited. HOWEVER, personally I do encourage awareness and even if he is slightly skewing the facts in his favor, at least its getting peoples attention. There does need to be more awareness of the world around us. So all in all, go char-bear!

Why Thank You very much. You have a very unique way of complimenting people and I truly appreciate it.
And I'm glad that you were able to appreciate such a characteristic. Rich people often look down on people that have to work hard because they focus on the situation rather than the person.

The Gables prom is March 15th. There should be a few afterparties going down. I'll holler at you.
