There's something inherently funny about penguins.

It's the woddle. How precious is that?

Agree, by the way.

The woddling is so incredibly the best part. I love it!

sorry, you don't know me, but I saw this on a friend's friends page and had to respond no_wonderland October 27 2005, 10:32:29 UTC
Heck yeah! Have you ever seen a penguin fight?

Ooh I don't believe I have! I saw one penguin push another penguin into water though, that was exciting. It was one of those things that made me smile. Have you ever seen a penguin fight?

A tale of two penguins... no_wonderland October 28 2005, 01:48:08 UTC
Oh yes I have! Here is a brief account:
Penguin 1 approached penguin, 2 flapping his wings wildly. Penguin 2 turns to penguin one and begins flapping his wings too. They stand, face-to-face, about a foot apart, madly flapping their wings at each other for a good 2 minutes. Then penguin 2 appears to lose interest, he slowly stops flapping, looks around for a bit, then turns and walks away. Penguin 1, however, is not done with the fight. He has continued flapping vigorously, and chases after penguin 2 when he walks away. Penguin 2 turns around again, and they flap so hard at each other that penguin 1 falls over. Much more rolling and flapping ensued. It should be noted that at no point during the confrontation was physical contact between the 2 penguins actually made. The end.

That is definitely one of the more complicated fights I have heard of. I like it, its intense and poetic yet oddly raw and primal. This is why penguins rock.

Funny, I've never thought so. But a lot of people are fascinated by penguins.

You're all just jealous of their sleek, streamlined bodies!

Dammit, you so got me there. All this time I've desperately been hoping for the ability to waddle and fly through water. And I really want a white fuzzy stomach.

It's so tragic isn't it? I once wrote a poem about that for English class, seriously. It was great.

you know what, it's not just the waddle, it's the way their little wongs pop out as they're waddling, like a tap-dancer

Haha oh of course, I never thought of it that way before. But you do have a point.

I guess you could tell I meant wings, not wongs...
