It was a bit of a laundry-list book. It had a lot to do and pretty well did it all while making a coherent plot. There was a bit just before the middle in which it dragged a bit, and at no point did I feel wholly compelled to keep reading, but I did.
The ending was an interesting effort to forestall all possible attempts to get her to write more sequels.
I'm just glad she redeemed Snape before the end. We finally got to see a side of him that everyone hoped was there. Fred's death, to me, was just too tragic, but then I guess it's because I'm a twin. Remus and Tonks dying together was tragic, but somehow less so since they went together but George has to go on without Fred. All of the deaths really seemed sudden and tragic so I guess that was her theme for death in general like what happened to Sirius and Cedric, sudden and tragic.
The ending was good, but I wish she had expanded just a little so we could have found out what Harry did after it all ended, what kind of job he got, but we can just guess at any rate. I'm just glad she didn't just end it what that last chapter, she could have, but she added a bit more.
The fact that they named their younger son Albus Severus was so touching, it was nice to see proof that Harry saw Severus as a hero.
