I'm going to get the decorations down from the attic and put them up later, after I've cleared out my room for scrr coming to stay on Christmas evening. The advantage of clearing out my room several days before Christmas is that for once I can decorate it in a non-"OMG it's Christmas Eve already; quick! throw some tinsel around!" way. Well, it'll still pretty much be throwing tinsel around, but at least not in that sad completely last-minute way.
Five favourite Christmas films? No particular order: The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Box of Delights (okay, so it's a miniseries rather than a film, but no Christmas is complete without it!), Prancer, Home Alone, and... hmm. Guilty please? Santa Claus: The Movie.

With hindsight it's a very schmaltzy movie, but the central idea of Santa's elf becoming spiritually lost in the landscape of a modern, commercial Christmas is interesting. Also, I love the introductory bit showing where Santa came from in the first place...
