During the New York Draft Riots of 1863, an anti-war mob rampaged through the streets of Manhattan for days in response to the first conscription in U.S. history. I like my newspaper to threaten the lives of rioters with military-grade, anti-personnel weapons, that's why I subscribe to the Times.

I still haven't bought my tickets to the mstrkrft. Shame, shame.

The NYT also melted down the letters from their printing presses into molten metal and poured it down from higher floors onto the rioters.
