I'm looking into going to school in Japan.  A Japanese friend of mine recommended Temple University, which has an English speaking campus in Tokyo.  So far, I went to their website, checked out everything they offer, and ordered a brochure.  I can learn Japanese there, and get certified to teach English in Japan if I want.  They also offer classes

I would say just do it, but relationships are def hard to just give up, especially if things are going well as it is. I don't have any really good advice to give you, but I feel your pain.
