Sorry to hear you got pickpocketed. Southern Italy is notorious for that. I wore one of those belt things inside my pants. One of the group day trips we took, one of the men felt someone in the crowd (or maybe multiple someones) try to get into his pocket, but he had safety pinned his wallet in the pocket so the thief(vies) couldn't reach in.

I hope nothing else of value was taken.

Napping in a hammock in the shade sounds wonderful! It had been getting progressively hotter here and tomorrow promises to be the hottest day so far at 104F, plus humid = Blah. I may spend the day at the movies just to sue their airconditioning.
