Ah, that would depend on whom you asked. Some cultures believe a dog's howl to be a bad omen, or a bat's cry; certain breeds of bird, a mouse, even an owl can be feared if you find the right people. Snakes are particularly feared as being foretellers of death. Even so, others may find those very signs to be bringers of good fortune... it all rests on circumstances.
