I lost my voice. Very suddenly! I woke up this morning with a sore throat and by midday was sounding very froggy, and now my voice is pretty much gone. Early stages of a cold? Unclear. Work has been stressful this week due to one very time-consuming thing I have to file this Friday... it would have dominated my week under any normal ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear you're sick - hope you feel better soon.

We don't have a TV, but as we're in a different country it's probably not comparable. For one thing, awesome old movies from the 80s are rarely screened on British TV!

Thanks, Jo. It morphed into a full-blown cold overnight, ugh.

We just started Netflix so theoretically we have access to all those old 80s movies -- but Netflix can't match the spontaneity of coming across Back to the Future on a Saturday afternoon and NEEDING to watch the whole thing. ;)

Hey, I lost my voice yesterday, too! It is so hard to get kids out to school with no voice. I think I sucked in dust allergens while housecleaning because everything went straight to my lungs and throat. Hacking a tiny bit less today, so fingers crossed for me and you.

Haven't seen any fireflies yet. I've seen them all my
life and still get a thrill.

Only you can make the cable decision. : )

Who knew this was lost voice season? I'm always weirded out getting colds in the summer time. Get well soon, Co!

I lost my voice at the end of Thursday because my sinus hate me and you talk a lot as a teacher. I don't have a tv because my cable box went inactive after I was away for two weeks and I don't watch enough tv for it to matter. This only annoys me during baseball season. I don't know if I could live w/o the internet though.

Internet is a definite must. We had to do without for about a month and it made me want to scream! We did get used to not having TV and I found it relaxing... I don't know why I'm so indecisive about this!

I hope you start to feel better and that your voice returns soon! Mine is still on the fritz.
