*hugs* i It sounds like going in September is really best, as much as you feel like you should be there right now. Keep up contact until then by phone and such? Maybe send some care packages? You can still be supportive from here until then. I hope he improves soon.
NO on wins with metal illness. My grandfather is going through Alzheimer, and it's not getting better, to the contrary. My grandmother is... starting to come to wits ends and the family is starting to take matters into their own hands without having the courtesy to ask her. It's been... awkward. I sympathize.
The time out there at least to see your mom might be good.
Sorry to hear this. I hope he can receive the help he needs; and your mother too. I can't imagine trying to be the main caregiver in a situation like this.
Ugh, was hoping that the second of your promised trio of posts would be a happier change. I hold out hope for the third. In the meantime, a trip out when you can manage it does sound like a good idea. You can assess the situation firsthand and make decisions from there. Hang in there!!
